Good Idea/Bad Idea....

Do you ever feel like you have a great idea and then in the end you scratch your head saying "what the hell was I thinking?" Well this is that post... We decided that we needed a much needed break from the city.. So yesterday afternoon we packed up the kids and a picnic and headed for the mountains.. :) Fab idea right... If we had taken handcuffs and duct tape, yes it would have been... We decided to go to Mirror Lake.. We stopped up the canyon at this little picnic area and ate, and let the kids play in the little river... This part was actually pretty fun... Took tons of fun pictures of the kids.... By the time we actually made it to Mirror Lake, I was ready to explode... :) My kids fought, complained, fought, screamed, hit, pinched, cried oh and did I mention fight.... But here are the cute pictures I got between war zones... :) I love my kids, I love my kids, I love my kids...

These were all taken at Provo River Falls... So pretty.. :)

Mirror Lake...

They are pretty good at faking huh??

We did survive the 6 hour fiasco, but not without a major headache... Thank goodness the little turds take such cute pictures.. :)

School 2010

New school year is here... Love them going back, maybe now we can work on getting a little more peace into our home when they are here... :) I loved spending the summer with them, but I have to admit I am not hating the quiet/non fighting day of just Jade and I... :) I can't believe how fast they grow up.. Bittersweet day... I know they were ready/nervous, but still I hope they had a great day!! Pretty cute kiddos if I say so.. :)

The Yummiest...

This has got to be one of my favorite summer meals.... MMM.. Love dinner nights like this... :) Sad summer is almost over.. :(

Recap..

Just a few things that happened at the Gunderson household last week...

~ Found out just how bad tickets and traffic school hurt an already hurting budget!! OUCH... Although I admit I was totally breaking the law, (geez I sound like a criminal..) Not on purpose though, who knew you couldn't turn right on a red light... :)
~ Realized that I not only have 4 kids, but 4 magicians... I had many things just "disappear" from my desk, but yet nobody seemed to have touched them... I am sure that they just grew legs and walked away.. (My mom always said that to us.) I can handle a lot of things going "missing," but when you mess with my scrap booking stuff, your playing with fire.. :)
~ Learned that if school does not start very soon, I am going to be committed.. :D
~ Still loving my sister's pregnant belly...

~ Love the profile pics my friend made for me, and I actually framed them...

~ Stockton and his team took 1st in basketball this season!! YEAH!!

~ Made all of my cards for my card group, and loved using up old stuff...
~ Spent one whole day cleaning my closet, organizing and getting rid of a lot of crap... Looks so awesome!! :)
~ Realized that I have the best family and friends!! :)
~ Made a chore chart... (yeah, like that is going to work.. he he I guess we will see..)
~ Trying to remember that sometimes you just have to laugh!! :)

Hoping for a better/less stressful week this week... HA HA I least I can hope right.. :)

One thing

I just have one thing to say... My mom is the bestest mom in the world and I love her so much!! She will do anything for anybody and she is amazing!!! I love you mom!

Love Courtnee (:

A is for... Aunt... Nancy is the most amazing Aunt to my kids.. She is like their 2ND Mom.. I am so glad that my kids have her in their life.. She is going to be an amazing Mommy to little Ryker.. I hope to be as good of an Aunt to him as she is to my kids... I love her for all of the love she gives my kiddos.. (even when they are naughty..) They are seriously blessed to have her as their Aunt!!

A "Grand" Old Time...

For my Mom's birthday, my sister and I surprised her with a girls night out at the Grand.. Me, Court, Nancy and my Mom... We stopped at one of our favorite sandwich shops, Moochies on the way there... Then it was off for a fantastic GNO!!!

Shopping at the Gateway!!

I love these girls!!

Nancy does love the robes.. ;)

Pool time... :)

Poolside cafe' service and yummy drinks too.. Bliss. :)

A view from the lounge chair..

A view from our room.. :)

Thanks girls for one amazing night!! We must do it again SOON!! :)

Little Miracles..

The other day when Nancy was over, the baby was moving all over the place.. The boys were so loving feeling him move... I loved watching them feel her belly, it made me miss (just a teeny) that feeling of having that miracle move inside of me.. Looking at this picture brings a tear to my eye... I love that I get to be a part of the starting of my sister's little family.. I remember being there with Courtnee like it was yesterday, and it was Nancy and Whitney feeling her kick in my tummy.. And now Courtnee is 13.. :( Time just danced away... I am so glad I have so many pictures to look back on, to see what has happened in our life.. Amazing how seeing one picture brings back floods of feelings... :D

A bit off...

A little project I am working on to try and get my mood back on track... I have been feeling so overwhelmed lately, seems like stress is over taking my life, however no matter how I am feeling, a little scrapping always make feel happy inside...

My Sweet Mom...

A very happy birthday wish to my Mom, my friend.... A few of my favorites about her...

M is for...Mom... She is the bestest Mom... I am so grateful to her for all of her sacrifices she has made for me and my family... I love that she is the reason I am who I am today.. She has taught me some amazing things in my life, and yet I turn to her daily for more advice.. She seems to always have the right answers to make me feel better... I am so blessed that I have her in my life not just as my Mom but as my best friend... :D
O is for...Obliging.. Seriously one of the kindest people I know... Always willing to give of herself to others.. Whether it be a meal, a card, a chore, a phone call, etc; She truly is kind to the depths of her soul.. Always putting others needs before her own.. I love this about her!!
M is for...Mentor... So many people look up to her, respect her and value her opinion... Mom, you need to realize this MORE!!!!

AND...

G is for...Grandma... My Mom is the best Grandma ever... Whether it's sleepovers, lunches, doing puzzles, shopping, taking them to run errands, camping, fishing, hunting; there is no limit for her... If the kids suggest it, she is on board... I love the relationship she has with each of my kids.. So special and so bonded... I can only hope to one day be half the grandma to my grand kids that she is to my kids.. :)
R is for...Respect... I have never seen my mom disrespect her family, her friends, her kids, her parents, her co-workers.. I love that my mom shows so much respect for others.. :)
A is for... Amazing... My Mom is the most giving person I know.. She never stops giving of herself to others.. She has the biggest heart, I just wish she could see it!! :)
N is for...Nimble.. Love that she is so smart about everything.. Love turning to her for advice, always makes me feel better listening to her wisdom.. :)
D is for...Diligent... Hardest working Mom I know.. She has been from the time I can remember.. She works and works hard.. Not a lazy bone in her body.. Even in the last two months with a broken back, she was slower but not stopped... I love that she taught her kids how to work for what they want.. I love you for this Mom....
M is for...Merry... Love it that she is so much fun to be around... She can always make me laugh, I completely love her personality.. :)
A is for...Accomplice.. Love that she is not only my Mom but one of my very best friends... Sometimes, even my partner in crime... ~wink, wink~

I love you Mom more than you will ever know.. Thank you for all you have given me, and taught me.. Here is to another year of happy times... :)
