First time boating...

We finally bit the bullet and took our kids boating... I have been in a raft before, but never a full speed fast boat.. Courtnee and Troy have, me and the boys have not.. My sister bought a boat a few weeks ago, so we decided to make a day of it. We packed lunches, sand toys, sunblock, etc. and headed to Deercreek... My sister in law also has a boat so they met us there.. Between the two boats there was enough room for all of us.. :) Fishing and playing in the water, could we ask for more fun?? Although I think my brother in law was purposely hitting every wake visible to his eye just to hear me scream like a little girl... Which I did.. I knew we were going to die, right there on the lake.. Thank goodness I peed first or I would have peed my pants, (which I may have done anyway!) It was so scary... But after awhile I got used to it.. It was so much fun.. I loved it!! Here are some of our pics from the day..

Jade trying to play in the "sand.." It wasn't really sandy..

Miss Courtnee all ready to go boating..

Cole's first time on a boat..

Whitney and Courtnee on the tube..

Ryker, not too sure about it all...

Everyone fishing off the back of the boats...

Jade and Daddy...

Jade taking his hand at fishing..

Colton was such a sweetie.. He took Jade onto his boat to show him how to fish..

Cole's highlight was filling up water balloons.. Nancy bought this cool gadget that let you fill them right on the boat..

Ryker "driving" the boat...

Jade casting all by himself..

Nancy and Courtnee were the first to take the plunge...

Then there were three...

Colton and Courtnee jumping in..

Dakotas turn...

Chilling in the water...

Levi jumping in..

Aww, The Sunshine..

Kids totally loved having a few days of sun... After what felt like a never ending winter we finally had some nice days of fun in the sunshine.. Just a few pics of the kids capturing every moment they could... :)

The kids writing Troy a welcome home message with chalk.

Enjoying a picnic on the grass.. :)

Courtnee was trying to "show" Stock the dances he will have to do in 5Th grade.. :)

Pretty darn cute.

Shooting hoops, a favorite past time at our house.

Jaden was trying so hard to dribble like Stock, he did pretty good.. :)

He finally figured out how to pedal and steer at the same time.. :)

The kids and their cousins, slipping and sliding. :)

Summer's End

Just a few pictures from the weekend, trying to beat the heat by getting a little bit wet...

Amazing how much fun you can have in spraying water...

Courtnee was soaked, and she loved every minute of it...

Stockton attempting to get wet..

This is as close to getting wet that Cole would do (splashing water from his hands to his face.) Silly boy..

Jaden was sure splashing it up....

What a little ham....

Summer Faves...

Just thought I would share a few of my summer favorites.
(1-)No school, which in turn means; no homework, no getting up early, no set schedules, lots of free time, no set bedtimes (well sort of), but most of all getting to spend time with my kids, family and friends.
(2-) Corn on the cob, (with lots of salt and butter) YUMMY!!!! I just love all the fresh garden veggies in the summer time, but I think corn is my #1 favorite, followed by fresh garden tomatoes a very close 2nd. BLT sandwiches are another summer best.
(3-)Green grass and fresh rain. Two of my favorite smells are fresh cut grass, and the smell after a rain storm and during the summer I get to smell them both.
(4-)Ice cream cones. Home made vanilla is the best!
(5-) Swimming. It is so fun to watch the kids swim, especially with all the cute pics I get. :)
