Happy Mother's Day...

Just wanted to tell my Mom, Mother in law, Grandma and all of the other special ladies in my life Happy Mothers Day... I love each one of you so much.. You are all so special to me.. :) I found this cute little saying on a darling blog, and thought I would share.. It pretty much sums up being a mom, perfectly.. :)

5 things I have learned about being a Mom:

1-Whatever annoying things you did to your parents…..your kids will do to you. 10 fold. And when you try to get sympathy, your mother will laugh at you.

2-Cleaning up after kids is like being in the middle of the movie Groundhog Day. No matter what, it keeps happening OVER and OVER and OVER…….

3-Probably no one else is gonna think your kids are as amazingly awesome as you think they are. But those people are dumb.

4-No matter what “stage” you’re trying to make it through, you will arrive at a brand new stage that is equally challenging and ridiculous.

5-Being a Mom makes your body messed up, your head ache, your mouth swear, and your feet hurt. But your heart will never be fuller.

How true it is.. My heart could not be fuller this day... I am beyond blessed to be the mom of four amazing kiddos. Thanks mom for teaching me everything I know and for being the best mom ever to us... I love you so much.. :)

The Spa...

I can't think of 2 more deserving women, of a trip to the spa, (for some very much needed R&R,) than my mom and my mother in law.. I was a little surprised that neither of them had ever had a manicure or a pedicure, but was pretty sure they enjoyed it... I was drooling the entire time, so jealous!! I was so relaxed just watching them.. I know they carry so much stress on their shoulders, and as we moms do, we just chug along day after day.. I wanted to give them something I knew they would never do for themselves.. I hope they enjoyed their few hours of relaxation.. I know I enjoyed seeing them relax probably more than they will ever know... :)

I love you guys and absolutely loved spending the afternoon with you. =)

Mothers...

Just wanted to tell all of the very special moms in my life how much they mean to me... My mom, my mother in law, my sisters, my sister in laws, my grandmothers, my aunts, my friends, my cousins and anyone else I may have forgot... I love each and every one of you, and you all hold a special place in my heart... Just wanted to share an amazing message...

"Be a Mother who is committed to loving her children into standing on higher ground than the environment surrounding them. Mother's are endowed with a love that is unlike any other love on the face of the earth."

"Think about your particular assignment at this time in your life. It may be to get an education, it may be to rear children, it may be to be a grandparent, it may be to care for an relieve the suffering of someone you love, it may be to do a job in the most excellent way possible, it may be to support someone who has a difficult assignment of their own. Our assignments are varied and they change from time to time. Don't take them lightly. Give them your full heart and energy. Do them with enthusiasm. Do whatever you have to do this week with your whole heart and soul. To do less than this will leave you with an empty feeling."

"We are all in this together. We need each other. Oh, how we need each other. Those of us who are old need you who are young, and hopefully, you who are young need some of us who are old...We need deep and satisfying and loyal friendships with each other. These friendships are a necessary source of sustenance. We need to renew our faith every day. We need to lock arms and help build the kingdom so that it will roll forth and fill the whole earth."

"I know it is hard for you young mothers to believe that almost before you can turn around the children will be gone and you will be alone with your husband. You had better be sure you are developing the kind of love and friendship that will be delightful and enduring. Let the children learn from your attitude that he is important. Encourage him. Be kind. It is a rough world, and he, like everyone else, is fighting to survive. Be cheerful. Don't be a whiner."

"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someones garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

My Mom...

As Mother's Day approaches I would like to tell my mom how much I love her. My mom has endured a lot of hardships in her life and yet has always managed to overcome adversity and keep her head up, I truly admire her for this. She has been a great example of what a mother is to me and my siblings. I hope to be half the mom to my kids that she is to us. Some of the qualities I love and admire her most for; she is honest, unselfish, loving, kind hearted, friendly, giving, has unconditional love for her children, funny, strong and a little outspoken(love ya mom).

I am lucky to have her so close to me and to my kids. I know that she would do anything for us and is always there whenever we need her. She is an even more amazing Grandma, and for that I am so blessed. I mean come on how many Grandmas will play deer hunting, get on the floor and crawl around like a deer so Stockton can pretend to shoot her(he used to LOVE doing this with her), or play Nascars with Cole, or take Courtnee shopping just to take her, or walk with Jaden so he could take the puppy for a walk, or the endless number of sleepovers with the kids so they could just hang with Grandma(the list is really endless).... I love her for being my mom and I cherish her for being my friend.
Love you mom, Happy Moms Day... :)
