Family Pics

After years and years of wanting a nice family photo for my wall we decided it was time to just do it; and since I live for pictures, I couldn't have asked for a better gift. :) We have only had a few done since we got married and have none with Jaden and Cole. We decided it would be a great gift for Troy's mom and dad for Christmas too. We got together with all of Troy's family and had them taken. We had an amazing experience; the weather and the kids cooperated, even the babies. They turned out so awesome... I wish I could post them all but since I can't I will post my favorites....

Tag--you are it!

I've been tagged by my great friend Casey! The name of this game is to answer the following 10 questions and then tag 4 other friends to do the same on their blog pages...

Best thing you cooked last week...Well I didn't actually cook it Troy did, it was home made pizza and it was the bomb. He got the recipe from a guy at work and seriously it was the best home-made pizza we have ever made. Cole and I enjoyed the leftovers for lunch the next day! :)

If money, time and babysitting were no object, where would you go and with who...1. Australia with Troy, its both of our dream vacation to go there 2. Nashville with my mom, she has dreamed of going there forever I would love to be able to take her there 3. Somewhere warm on a beach with all of my Friends sitting back sipping on diet coke, catching up on old times 4. St George with Casey and her family 5. Disney world with mine and Troy's families, it would be so fun for all the cousins to go together.

Happy Birthday Jaden

Wow where did the last year go? Seems like just yesterday we had him and already he is turning one. This little guy has brought so much joy to our family. He is an amazing little spirit. We are so blessed to have him in our family, he is always making us smile. His little personality has just blossomed over this past year. Watching him dance has to be one of our favorite things, nobody does it quite like him. He will dance to anything too, commercials, music, ringtones, church hymns, etc. if it sounds remotely like music he is dancing. Happy Birthday Jaden. Thanks for making our family complete. Love ya. :)

Happy Birthday Courtnee!

I can't believe she is already 11! My once sweet baby girl is turning into my sweet little young lady. She is truly a sweetheart and such a blessing to our family. She is a great help to me and I am so grateful for her. I love and appreciate her more than she will ever know. I just wanted to tell her Happy Birthday and how proud she makes our family. Love you Court.

Here are a few pictures from her party on Saturday. They had the best time, we decorated mini cakes, went on a scavenger hunt and scrapbooked memories from the party. It was neat to see all of the girls different tastes in their cake decorating and their scrapbooking abilities. Thanks for making her day so special girls. :)

Halloween Pictures

Halloween Hoopla

Our last week has been filled with many fun filled Halloween activities...

1- Last Saturday we went to the Pumpkin Patch. This is always a fun activity for the kids (and for me too, lots of cute pictures). Nothing like a last minute trip and yet we still got great pumpkins..

2- On Sunday we made Halloween sugar cookies, everyone took part in it... Mom mixed, dad rolled them, Stockton & Cole cut them out, Jaden napped, & Courtnee made the frosting and decorated them. So yummy!

3- On Monday night we opened our Pumpkins, (Carved them, but this is what Cole called it, he was so excited to finally get to open his pumpkin). Jaden's was a Jack-o-Lantern, Cole's was a skeleton, Courtnee's was a witch and Stockton's was Spongebob.

4- Tuesday we went to Troy's moms house for an awesome Halloween party. She decorated her house so cute, made tons of yummy food, had goodie bags for the kids and played fun games. It was a great time with everyone. Thanks family. :)

5- Halloween; Lots of trick or treating, lots of trunk or treating, lots of cute costumes & lots of candy...Whew... What a great week... :)

Deer Hunting...

This past weekend we went to Vernal to go deer hunting with my sister and her husband. Stockton has been dying to go for years, and Nancy asked if he could go with her this year, so we all decided to make a little trip out of it. I have been hunting many times since I was little but Troy had never been. I think he was surprised at how much fun it was. We had a blast. We saw many, many deer, however none were killed during our hunt.. I think Stockton was a bit disappointed (and Nancy too); and even though we didn't get "the big one" we still had a lot of fun.... Nancy got to shoot at a 2 point, but I think her adrenaline and her excitement got the best of her, and well; she missed (still love ya Nanc, and you get a big E for effort). It was great to spend the whole weekend with family. Good times. :)

Principal's Pride..

Courtnee was selected this week from her class to receive the Principal's Pride award for excellence in Art. This is an award that is given out each week to a student in each class, in each grade for something awesome they have done at school; writing, art, math, spelling etc... They receive a certificate, have their picture taken with the principal, and their work is displayed in the main hallway for a week. I am so proud of her and wanted to share. Way to go Court. :)

Fatcats Bowling...

Tonight we went bowling at Fatcat's and ate yummy pizza & bread knots from The Pizza Factory. Stockton beat all of us (and that was with no bumper pads); he has quite an amazing little talent at bowling. He was pretty proud of the fact he beat all of us. I tried telling Courtnee that not everyone is good at bowling (especially me) and that some people just have a talent for it, she was not impressed... :) Cole bowled a couple of times but was more interested in eating. What a great night. Thanks family.

Tagged...

So I have been tagged by my long time bf Kriston and loved learning 7 new things about her, so here goes a few things you may not know about me.

1- I have never had a speeding ticket, traffic violation or ever been pulled over for one. (Ok I did get pulled over right after I got my license but only to tell me my fog lights were on.)

2- I love peanut butter and syrup on my waffles.

3- My first job was working as a flower delivery driver, back in high school.

4- I too had a nickname back in the day... Whistlin' Jane. (I will just leave it at that.)

5- I was once chased by a skunk. :( I was just lucky it didn't catch me. :)

6- I have had stitches a number of times, a 3rd degree burn on my hand but I have never broken a bone.

7- I know how to change a tire on a minivan. I have changed my tire several times. (Ok just once but I had to take it on and off, on and off to get it in the right spot to drive home. So that should count for more than once right?) I was at my grandparents camping resort and got a flat, unfortunately Troy was not with me, so with a lot of his coaching on the phone I was able to change it and make it home safely.

Ok so nothing really exciting about me but maybe something someone didn't know. I am now tagging Casey, your it!

Fall

Loving this time of year; leaves changing, temperatures dropping, school starting and holidays coming. We drove up Butterfield Canyon last week and Troy got some amazing pictures of the gorgeous fall weather. :)

Scentsy Candles...

A few weeks ago at my nephews birthday party my sister-in-law was telling me about these awesome candles that she had, and let me look at her catalog. After I looked at it for a while she decided to go get the samples for me to smell. (Hard to decide what something smells like from a book.) I was pretty much sold, and I thought I would give it a try. I ordered a warmer (which is so cute) and some candles (wick less), and I got them this weekend. Can I just tell you how heavenly my house smells.... I ordered 6 scents; strawberry sweetie, lucky in love (my favorite so far), Havana cabana, sweet pea & vanilla, spiced orange harvest and sizzlin' coconut. I have to say there were so many scents to choose from, I seriously had a tough time just getting 6. There was one called fresh cut grass, and trust me I really considered this one. As I have said before this is one of my favorite smells, but the thought crossed my mind; what would I say if someone came over and said "does your house smell like grass?" Um ya that is my favorite smell. He he he.... Needless to say as tempting as that one was, I refrained from getting it. :) Just loving the smell of these candles, and wanted to share.

Lucky Me

As I was walking out the door tonight I had a surprise visit from my mother and father in law with these gorgeous flowers. Troy is out of town and it has been a very stressful week for me (I know its only Tuesday), and they just wanted to say hang in there and brighten my day, and it worked!!!! How sweet were they to do this for me.
Thanks so much for making my day, love you guys. :)

The Bike

All Stockton wanted for his birthday was a new bike, and since his Troy is going to be gone for his birthday, he wanted to get him one before he left. He had fun trying them all out in the store, but finally settled on this one.

Salsa

Time once again for our annual salsa-a-thon. I always dread this time a year, because it is so much work, but I am happy all year long as we reap the benefits from the blood, sweat and tears we endured while making it. We had a lot of fun and a lot of help this year which made it really nice. We worked all day Friday and all day Saturday on it, and ended up with about 150 quarts. Thanks family for helping out. :)
