Colton..

Just wanted to wish my cute nephew a Happy 13Th Birthday today.. Man where did the time go?? By him turning 13, means that in a few short months I too will have a teenager.. :) Some of my faves about Colton...

- His smile, really melts your heart.. (he is going to be a lil heart breaker)
- His outgoing personality, a little jokester, love that about him..
- His zest for life, enjoys life to the fullest...
- I love the closeness he shares with Stock.. :)
- His gorgeous eyes...
- His Testimony of the Gospel, love his spirituality.
- The handsome young man he is turning into.
- His love for the outdoors... Love his passion for nature...
- The way he loves his family, love it when kids have love and respect for their fam.. :)

Just wanted to share one of my favorite memories of Colton... When he was about 3 or 4 they had come over for a visit... The kids all decided that they were going to get in the hot tub, so up they went to get in their bathing suits.. When they came down, they all had one on, including Colton... Only he had on Courtnee's... He looked pretty darn cute, even with the swimsuit on backwards...It was the sweetest thing ever... It was a priceless moment and one that will always warm my heart and make me smile... I would share the picture but I don't want to embarrass him too much.. Love you Colton and hope you had a great day!! :)

Jr High...

I knew this day was coming, and coming too fast for me... Well today it came!!! My once baby girl in grade school, is now a sweet beautiful young woman in Jr. High... We took her to back to school night last night, so she could go to each of her classes, get a feel of her teachers and try to get accustomed to Jr. High.... A lot of the night was just a blur to me, really don't remember much of what any of her teachers said... I sat there and looked at her (marveled really) and thought what an amazing kid she has turned out to be... I know she is going to grow up, I just don't have to love how fast she does it right.. (wink) She did fabulous on her first day, and mom made it through with minimal meltdowns.. A new adventure for us.. :)

365 (Week 34)

Day 230 - 8/18/2009 What a ham!

Day 231 - 8/19/2009 Yeah, we finally got the hard cast on... :) He was so happy it didn't have to go above his elbow... He is loving having people sign it.. :)

Day 232 - 8/20/2009 Not really sure what he is doing, but he was sure having fun..

Day 233 - 8/21/2009 My mom had promised to get Stockton some eclairs after he hurt his arm, so today she took him to lunch and to get his treats... When he got home, he had written this on the box.. He is so funny... Thanks grandma for being so sweet to him.. :)

Day 234 - 8/22/2009 Today was Stocks last Basketball game, for the Championship... Which in itself was quite amazing, they played so hard and won taking first place.. It was a bittersweet day for Stock, he so badly wanted to play, (I noticed a few tears at times) it just killed him to sit on the bench... He was however so happy to have first place.... He has a lot of 2ND, 3rd, & 4Th place trophies but no 1st... Congrats boys!!

Day 235 - 8/23/2009 They sure do like to wrestle.. :)

Day 236 - 8/24/2009 Very entertaining for the kids, so cute too.. :)

Court just chillaxing by the pool..

He was such a trooper, even though he couldn't get in all the way, he never complained.. :)

Playing on the Internet at the hotel.. :)

Shoshone Falls.. ;)

Still as beautiful as ever...

My sweetie.. :)

Kids looking through the binoculars at the beautiful falls..

Jaden's most favorite ride, he kept saying "let's go again, daddy"... He is so funny...

It took A LOT of coaxing but Cole finally caved and went on this with Jaden, then I couldn't get them off... :) Oh well they had fun, and that's all that matters!!

Jaden was so funny on these, he didn't know quite how to work it so he just kept going backwards in a circle.. :)

Stock was even enjoying a few rides with his brothers.. :)

Today I just wanted to wish my darling sister a Happy Birthday.. Just a few of my favorite things/memories of her...

- We were lucky enough to be able to be sealed as a family on this very special day... It is so amazing to be able to share it with Nanc... :)
- Growing up with her, although I was much older I still loved have little sisters..(Despite what she might tell you that I was so mean to them, Ok I guess I was kinda mean to them), but still loved my baby sisters....
- Pulling weeds in the yard, laughing hysterically as we watched Whitney go into an all out frenzy because she had a church bug on her... :)
- Going to the Olympics celebrations with her...
- Picking her up for lunch every day of her 10Th grade year, loved spending that special time with her..
- Doing her hair when she was little, telling her "look at me, not the mirror, the mirror is not doing your hair", sorry about that.. :)
- I cannot even begin to say how much I have loved all of the things she has done and continues to do for my kiddos.. They are so lucky to have her for an aunt, she will be a good mommy someday..
- Loved being able to share her wedding day with her, such a special memory, I will always remember how gorgeous she looked..
- I love all the little mini massages she gives me, I always tell her she missed her calling in life as a masseuse...
- Loved going hunting with her a few years ago... Many laughs and although we didn't really see one stinkin' deer we sure had a good time..
- I love it that we are sisters, but cherish that we are friends..
- I love her kind heart, ever since she was little she has always cared about people and being kind to others...
- Love all the birthdays, holidays, vacations, special days we get to share with her..

My Mom...

Today is my amazing mom's birthday, she is only 29 (wink)... When I was little whenever someone would ask me how old she was that's what I told them.. She quite liked that... Some of the amazing things I love about her...

- Her cooking skills, whenever I feel down or sick I know that one of her home cooked meals will always make me feel better... Last week when Stock broke his arm, I called her to come sit with my kids... When we got home that night, she had made his favorite, homemade chicken and noodles and homemade cinnamon rolls... It was so nice to come home and have it all taken care of.. She ROCKS!! and by the way so did her noodles and cinnamon rolls.. Yummy...
- She is the bestest Grandma to my kids... She comes over and no matter what they ask her to do, she does it.. Whether its playing Skipbo with Cole, baseball with Jade, shopping with Court, or going to Stock's games... She does it and always has on a smile... Love that about her... My kids are so lucky to have her.. :)
- Her Sunday dinners... Love knowing that on Sunday she will make us a yummy dinner and we get to just go out and chill with her all afternoon.. :)
- Her willingness to help... When we decided to paint and get new carpet this spring, Troy was working insane hours, and so I called my mom... She came over and her and I emptied my upstairs, pulled up all the carpet and pad, and pulled out staples for what seemed like eternity... Never could have done it without her... :) Thanks again Mom..
- She is so caring and giving.. She would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it... I love love love this about her...
- She is one of my best friends... I love that I can call her and we can talk for hours about anything... Thanks mom for always being there to listen to me, and for setting me straight on numerous occasions.. Love you.
- I love how cute she is with Little Foot (her miniature weeny dog.) Five years ago if you would have told me she got a dog, I would have just laughed at you... She loves that little dog, sometimes more than us kids... :)
- I love her outgoing fun personality.. Love it that she can take any situation and laugh about it... Love laughing with her.. :)
- She is so beautiful.. Inside and out, you are truly a rock star Mom..
- She is such a hard worker... My mom has got to be the hardest worker I know... From doing her job, to cleaning her house, to ironing, the list is endless.. Not sure how she does it, but she has definitely shown us kids what it is to work hard. Thanks MoM...

Mom I just want you to know how much I love you and how much I love you in our lives.. Hope you have a great day, you deserve it!!! You are the greatest Mom.. :)

The Inevitable...

Well I knew it was bound to happen, but I dreaded the thoughts of it happening to one of my kids.. Stockton broke his wrist on Saturday.. Pretty bad break, clear through the bone and the growth plate, pushing the bone to the other side... He was playing football with one of his friends outside, just fell on it wrong and that was it... I cannot begin to tell you how many times he has fallen in Basketball, but has somehow avoided this... After a quick trip to Instacare (mostly for pain medicine) we were off to Primary... It really killed me to see him in so much pain... I think by the time we reached PCMC he was going into shock.. They were so amazing there, from putting in his IV to feeding him a Gatorade before we left... We were so relieved that he didn't have to have surgery, and that they were able to set it while we were there... They sedated him, set it, wrapped it and he was done.... OK not quite that fast, (6 hours later) but they were awesome.... Now we wait for 10 days for swelling to go down and then we can go get the hard cast on.. His poor little fingers look like sausages today.. :( Poor guy... He is pretty bummed that he is out of Basketball for the season, and possibly next season too.. I know he is a tough kid though, and will bounce right back... Love ya buddy.. Here are some pics I took of our little experience....

The wrist right after it was broken. OUCH!!

So sad, waiting for a room at PCMC. :(

Love this pic, shows his big alligator tears on his cheeks..

Resting, waiting for the Ortho docs...

His wrist, right before they set it..

Waking up from sedation...

A little smile, still sleepy.. :)

His poor little fingers are so swollen too.. :(
