Love...

Seeing little notes like this... This was in Cole's planner today when I went to sign it. Love hearing how the kids are doing from their teachers.. :) So happy that this year is better for Cole.. I think he finally is getting the hang of school, only took over 2 years.. :)

Updated... :)

Here is a few of the "going ons" at our house the past week...

Courtnee... She did this chalk drawing at school for Art, outside on the sidewalk, all free handed... She is an amazing artist.. Love it, so grateful her teacher took a pic and sent it to us.. :)

Cole... Finally got his stitches out, but is still hesitant about getting it wet. He thinks it will come open.. Silly kid.. Speaking of; he asks me tonight, "Mom, can I say Dammit?" "No, honey you can't." "Is it a bad word?" "Yes it is." "OK." That kid just cracks me up.. :)

Jaden... Got his Halloween costume, and still is trying to figure out why Jango Fett (from Star Wars) cannot fly... :D Love that kiddo..

Stockton... My little boy became a Deacon on Sunday.. It was so weird and even a little bit sad for me to see him passing the Sacrament.. I always imagined how handsome he would be doing it, and indeed he was, just grew up too fast for me.. So proud of the kid he is and the good choices he makes... Love that boy!!

From this....

To this...

Troy, Stockton & Troy's dad...

Me... Was able to sneak away for a quick GNO on Friday night, with my BF to Park City.. :) Good times..
A view from our room...

Amazing..

Troy... Being the amazing guy he is, watched the kiddos Friday night for me to go.. :)

Neglected..

It was recently brought to my attention that my recent blog posts have been lacking one really important thing.. Miss Courtnee... I really meant to blog about her surgery on her teeth and in the midst of chaos the last 4 weeks, overlooked it.. So here is an update on her.. She had her wisdom teeth out on the 9Th of September... Her orthodontist said she needed them out within the next year or we would be re doing braces... So we decided to just do it.. She had four of them and they were all impacted.. She did amazing and was only in there about 30 minutes.. Recovery was a bit rough for her.. I put the air mattress in the living room and slept in there with her for the first week, making sure she got everything she needed... Her diet consisted on spaghettio's, soup and ice cream... She was sure a trooper, she had rough days and yet never complained.. I am happy she had such an amazing Dr. and that she is now all better.. It took her a few weeks, but she is back to the old Courtnee.. I swear I didn't see her smile for well over a week, and it just broke my heart... Glad she is back to herself... Here are a few pics.. :)

Going under, deep deep sleep.. :)

Right after surgery...

After a five days... My little chipmunk.. :)

No more chipmunk cheeks, and gorgeous as ever... Love this girl!!

In Stitches...

I knew it was bound to happen.... Laying on my bed watching conference I hear...
Cole - "Mom.."
Me - Ugh "what"
Cole - "Mom, come here,"
Me - Sigh, OK "where are you?" no answer...
I find him on his bed with a towel over his hand, which was covered in blood... I asked him what the heck happened and he tells me he was just rubbing his thumb on his dresser and cut it... As I peel back the towel, I KNOW that is not what happened... So I ask again, what happened, looking around for the culprit of the cut.. Poor kid was so scared, he tells me he was just trying to get the tape off his dresser, with his brother's pocket knife... I felt so awful because it should have never been down where he could access it... He had even got band aids to put on it.. Sent Courtnee to find Troy to see what he thought... We both decided that it probably needed stitches, so off we went... 3rd trip in 8 days... Of course same Dr.. I joked with her telling her that we should just rent a wing for our own personal use.. :D He was so tough and strong, no tears, even when they numbed it up to stitch... It made me sick to even watch.. He watched them do everything, and never shed a tear... What a trooper... Although he was not as happy to be at the Dr. as Jade was, couldn't even get a smile out of him..

Sitting and soaking...

Waiting for numbness..

All stitched, and steri stripped...

All done...

Even though it has been a rough 4 weeks, I am so thankful for modern medicine and amazing Dr.s, who have helped 3 out of my 4 kids feel better... :)
