Fall Decor

Ok so I will never be Martha Stewart, but in my sad attempt at painting, this is as close as I will get... Casey and I made these cute Thanksgiving decorations the other night. It was so much fun to do, I am glad she suggested it. It's nice to take a different crafty route now and then. Thanks Casey. :)

Happy Birthday Nancy!

Just wanted to wish my sister a Happy Birthday. It's hard to believe that my once baby sister is now all grown up... Some of my favorites things about her...
1- She is an amazing aunt to my kids, even though most days she would like to strangle them, she doesn't. She loves to play with them, take them places with her, just spoil them really... Love this about her, she will be an amazing mommy some day....
2- I love her passion for the outdoors. The hunting, fishing and camping are something she loves, wish I loved it more like she does. :)
3- I love the closeness we share. I am so lucky to have my mom and sisters so close by.
4- She has the best heart, willing to help out anyone.
5- She is an extremely hard worker, not a lazy bone in her body.
6- She can always make me laugh, especially when we get in our movie quoting mode. :)
7- I love her dedication to exercise, she is really inspiring to me.
8- She is so kind and caring. I remember when she was younger and in school, she was always so nice to everyone, especially the kids who needed someone to be nice to them. Love this about her.
9- She is a perfectionist, and since we are a lot alike on this one, I enjoy her enthusiasm to make things perfect.
10- No matter what no matter when, I can always count on her! :)
Love that your my sister and cherish that your my friend, love you Nanc hope you have a great day!!! Thanks for all the great memories and for the many more to come. :)

Back to School

Our summer has came and gone, way too fast this year. We are officially back to school today. This will be Courtnee's last year in grade school (frown), and it will be Cole's first year in school (another frown). I am glad they will have at least one year together in the same school. Cole doesn't start for another week though and I am already bracing myself for him going. I saw his name on the kindergarten board today when I took the other kids and had a small meltdown. It has been a rough morning for me, and he hasn't even went yet.. :( Here the day I thought I was looking forward to is almost here and I am not sure I am ready.... I will post pics of his first day next week.

Courtnee is starting 6th grade and Stockton 4th. I am so excited for them, they both have awesome teachers this year. Courtnee actually had this same teacher in 3rd grade and now again in 6th and he was just fabulous, and Stockton has the teacher Courtnee had in 4th grade and she is also just as fabulous... I can't tell you how great the year goes by with awesome teachers... So excited.... We are looking forward to another great school year. :)

2- She loves her family more than anything in the world, always there for us.
3- She is an amazing grandma, something she treasures.
4- She can cook some pretty awesome meals/desserts. Nobody can beat her cinnamon rolls. :)
5- She is very talented in so many things, love her skills.
6- She has an amazing heart, always sees the good in people.
7- She is an extremely hard worker, has always taught us hard work pays off.
8- She has a very difficult job, but still manages to keep her head up, (don't know how she does it every day.)
9- She is so easy going, up for anything, never complains. (wish I was more like this)
10- No matter what, no matter when I know I can always count on her.
Thanks for being my mom, my friend, my idle. I love you mom and hope you have a great day. You deserve it!

The Weekend...

Well nothing too exciting for our weekend, but I will share the highlights. Stockton lost his Basketball game (but had fun and that's all that matters). We were able to take our friend Nick out to a movie (thank goodness he is finally home) and then back to my house to hang out and eat dinner. It was really fun to get to spend some time with him, love ya Nick. Troy finished up a sod project, made a dump run, power washed the patio and fixed the deck. I was able to get a bit of school shopping done (one more week and counting). Last but not least we enjoyed some major corn on the cob, this is the one of the absolute BEST parts of summer... LOVE IT!!!!

I have to share a funny story from yesterday, we were out at my moms house eating dinner (thanks for the yummy food) and Cole would not leave Stockton alone, and I asked him what his paper said that he had made at church and then I quoted it " I can be kind to everyone," when he piped in and said um no it didn't, it said "I can be kind to others." Apparently his brother is included in on everyone but not as others... It was too funny it made me laugh, its moments like these that make it so hard to get mad at him. I swear he is so cute because just when you feel like you are at the end with him and can't take him anymore he says/does something like this.. Colie Wolie, gotta love him. :)

It's Official...

Well the day I have been anticipating/dreading has come. Courtnee has officially learned how to use my debit card. I have looked forward to this day because I knew it would make my life so much easier, instead of taking all of the kids into the store to grab something, I can now just send her and Stockton in with the ole debit card, Such Bliss... However I also knew when this day came it would mean my once baby girl is now a young lady... Bittersweet day for mom.... :)
