The Weekend...

Well nothing too exciting for our weekend, but I will share the highlights. Stockton lost his Basketball game (but had fun and that's all that matters). We were able to take our friend Nick out to a movie (thank goodness he is finally home) and then back to my house to hang out and eat dinner. It was really fun to get to spend some time with him, love ya Nick. Troy finished up a sod project, made a dump run, power washed the patio and fixed the deck. I was able to get a bit of school shopping done (one more week and counting). Last but not least we enjoyed some major corn on the cob, this is the one of the absolute BEST parts of summer... LOVE IT!!!!

I have to share a funny story from yesterday, we were out at my moms house eating dinner (thanks for the yummy food) and Cole would not leave Stockton alone, and I asked him what his paper said that he had made at church and then I quoted it " I can be kind to everyone," when he piped in and said um no it didn't, it said "I can be kind to others." Apparently his brother is included in on everyone but not as others... It was too funny it made me laugh, its moments like these that make it so hard to get mad at him. I swear he is so cute because just when you feel like you are at the end with him and can't take him anymore he says/does something like this.. Colie Wolie, gotta love him. :)

It's Official...

Well the day I have been anticipating/dreading has come. Courtnee has officially learned how to use my debit card. I have looked forward to this day because I knew it would make my life so much easier, instead of taking all of the kids into the store to grab something, I can now just send her and Stockton in with the ole debit card, Such Bliss... However I also knew when this day came it would mean my once baby girl is now a young lady... Bittersweet day for mom.... :)

Memory Game

Let's play:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

3. If you can't say anything nice, don't comment.

Karma

Is there such a thing as bad car karma? I swear we have been cursed for the last 12 years or so with bad car karma(or so it seemed), hence the reason we decided to get a different car. I am hoping and praying that this time around we will be blessed with some good karma... I told Troy maybe I am the one who is cursed, he he he... :) I guess time will tell, but for now we are thinking it has to get better right? With that said I am so happy to now have a dependable car (smile)...

So Thankful

A dear family friend of ours (Nick) was hit by a drunk driver on his motorcycle last week and severely hurt, he is alive (thank heaven) but his life was forever changed. Nick has always had a special place in our hearts and we are so blessed to still have him with us. I just want him to know how much he means to us, and how we are here for him through his whole recovery process. We can't wait until he can come over and chill with us again.... Love you Nick, so thankful you are ok!!! :) It's the littlest things in this life we take for granted, that can one day change you in the blink of an eye... This horrible accident has made me even more aware of how precious life is and how you should hold your loved ones close often and always tell them how much you love them.

Week In Review

Just a highlight of a few things from the past 2 weeks...

1- Stockton starting Basketball. I am looking forward to watching him play and seeing his new talents develop...

2- Courtnee's first Piano Recital.. I am so proud of her, she did and AMAZING job. Her ability to pick up on the piano and her dedication to it makes me so happy.

3- School is finally out, and I couldn't be happier. I am so looking forward to chilling with my kids, no set schedules, no homework, some major relaxation (if there is such a thing) and Fun Fun Fun!!!

4- Our van breaking AGAIN!!! Just when you think what else can we fix on this darn car, it breaks and shows you. I think we are cursed when it comes to cars... Good thing Troy is so handy and fixing cars... Thanks honey for not taking a stick of dynamite to it! :)

5- 4th of July- We challenged the crowds (not too bad) and went to Raging Waters, barbecued that night and had an amazing fireworks show courtesy of Troy.... Thanks to my family and Matheson's for a great time!!!
