365 (Week 31)

Yet another week in the life of us, I have to admit I have really loved doing this challenge (thanks Camie). It's definitely been challenging some days but also very rewarding too.. :)

Day 209 - 7/28/2009 Cole's first day of First grade, a sad day for me.. I didn't think it would be that hard to send him all day.. I hope he starts adjusting soon, hate seeing him sad everyday for school. :(



Day 210 - 7/29/2009 Took Courtnee to get her hair cut and "convinced" her to get her eyebrows waxed.. :) I told her it's like ripping off a bandaid.. (only with all your hair attached ;)


Day 211 - 7/30/2009 What a ham!



Day 212 - 7/31/2009 One of my most favorite summer meals, hamburger gravy over fresh garden tomatoes.. YUMMO!! Thanks mom.. :)


Day 213 - 8/1/2009 Had an awesome day at Lagoon!!


Day 214 - 8/2/2009 Took a drive to see the new Draper temple, simply breathtaking.. :)


Day 215 - 8/3/2009 Just a little chillaxin outside with daddy.. :)

Grandpa..

Today I want to wish my Grandpa a Happy Birthday... Some of my favorite memories about Grandpa growing up..

- One of my favorites would have to be when I was little and we would come out to visit them, he would have me go into his candy drawer in his room and get me and him a candy bar... Which was awesome but the best part was that I got to eat it in front of all of my boy cousins, and they got nothing... Man did I eat that up.. :)
- The many camping trips sleeping in the motor home, especially to Camelot..
- Deer hunting, walking for hours after Grandpa dropped us off and seeing nothing, only for him to drive down the road and kill a buck.. :)
- The car wash, loved it that my grandparents owned a car wash..
- The way Grandpa makes all these gadgets to make life easier...
- I love the way they always go way out in decorating for the holidays..
- For as long as I can remember I have loved the smell of Grandpa's pipe.. :)
- The many family reunions.. :)
- I loved it every year when we would have a Christmas party in their basement, Grandpa would sit at the bar and video tape everyone... Still love watching his home movies..
- The times in my life when I needed help and Grandma & Grandpa were there.. Loved that!
- Grandpa was always a big tease (still is).. :)
- Old Yellowstone, just saying that makes me think of my Grandpa.. Grandpa fishing, kids swimming, walking the pipe and writing our names on it.. Good times.. :)
- Grandpa making us his homemade parfaits.. :)
- The way he still takes the kids out and shakes the walnut tree so they can gather them up.. :)

Grandpa I hope you have a great birthday, thanks for giving me so many great memories... Love ya! :)

We have been swimming a lot this summer, but these are a few of my favorite pics of the year... The kids were so funny every time they jumped off the diving board they wanted me to "capture" their trick, even Troy got in on the action.. It was so fun to watch them.. :) Little Jaden has no fear of water, he was jumping right with the big kids... :)

365 (Week 30)

This has been one of the worst weeks for me to date... Let me start off by saying that in my defense to not having the greatest pictures every day; has a little something to do with cleaning up puke, doing 100 loads of laundry (ok not 100, but it really seemed that way), 3 nights of up all night (hence puking kids), cloroxing and lysoling EVERYTHING!!!! And on top of it, me, the mom gets the horrible bug!! I didn't think that was EVER supposed to happen. Moms can't get sick, they don't have time!! With that said here are my pictures from the week...

Day 202 - 7/21/2009 We took the kids swimming tonight, more pictures coming soon. Just love this pic of my honey and my kiddos.. :)


Day 203 - 7/22/2009 Back to school night, gotta love finding their names on the bulletin boards.. :)



Day 204 - 7/23/2009 Jade has been so sick, he went and got his pillow and blanket and went behind the chair and fell asleep for like 4 hours. :(


Day 205 - 7/24/2009 Our holiday was pretty low key, sat outside and watched the surrounding houses let off fireworks.. :)


Day 206 - 7/25/2009 Today I felt like sudden death... Guess I could have taken a pic of the toilet, since that's all I saw today! :) Ha ha... JK.

Day 208 - 7/27/2009 Stocktons first day of school.. Gasp, 5th grade..Guess it's no longer cool for mom to take him to school, had to settle for a picture outside. :( Cole starts tomorrow, so his picture will be coming, 1st grade all day for him (tear)..
