Lucky Me

As I was walking out the door tonight I had a surprise visit from my mother and father in law with these gorgeous flowers. Troy is out of town and it has been a very stressful week for me (I know its only Tuesday), and they just wanted to say hang in there and brighten my day, and it worked!!!! How sweet were they to do this for me.
Thanks so much for making my day, love you guys. :)

The Bike

All Stockton wanted for his birthday was a new bike, and since his Troy is going to be gone for his birthday, he wanted to get him one before he left. He had fun trying them all out in the store, but finally settled on this one.

Salsa

Time once again for our annual salsa-a-thon. I always dread this time a year, because it is so much work, but I am happy all year long as we reap the benefits from the blood, sweat and tears we endured while making it. We had a lot of fun and a lot of help this year which made it really nice. We worked all day Friday and all day Saturday on it, and ended up with about 150 quarts. Thanks family for helping out. :)

Back to School

It's that time again for early to bed, early to rise, homework, reading, spelling, field trips, school lunches, recess etc. etc. Looking forward to another great school year adventure, with new teachers, new friends and new experiences.

Birthday Fun

Got to give a shout out to my mom and sister for hosting a great birthday party last night. They were celebrating both of their birthdays, and lucky for us they included family and friends in on the fun. We ate yummy food (of course), played Scene It (battle of the sexes), jammed out with Guitar Hero and showed off some great dance moves with Dance Dance Revolution. Amazingly enough nothing downstairs was broken from all the dancing. :) It was lots of fun, lots of laughs and lots of good memories. I am truly blessed to have them in my life. Thanks guys for everything you do for me and my family. Love ya. :)

Wii Envy

My son is just a "Wii" bit jealous of Mack's new toy. He has a new found quest to see how high of a score he can get at bowling, and to hear him talk about all the secret tricks to it is quite amusing. He already has a Wii on his Christmas list, silly boy. We are looking forward to trying it out, before we think about buying one for ourselves. But then again if the Matheson's have one, do we need one? he he he :)

Summer Faves...

Just thought I would share a few of my summer favorites.
(1-)No school, which in turn means; no homework, no getting up early, no set schedules, lots of free time, no set bedtimes (well sort of), but most of all getting to spend time with my kids, family and friends.
(2-) Corn on the cob, (with lots of salt and butter) YUMMY!!!! I just love all the fresh garden veggies in the summer time, but I think corn is my #1 favorite, followed by fresh garden tomatoes a very close 2nd. BLT sandwiches are another summer best.
(3-)Green grass and fresh rain. Two of my favorite smells are fresh cut grass, and the smell after a rain storm and during the summer I get to smell them both.
(4-)Ice cream cones. Home made vanilla is the best!
(5-) Swimming. It is so fun to watch the kids swim, especially with all the cute pics I get. :)
